- First, find your photos. Get them off your phone and camera and into long-term storage—either online or with a hard drive. Then back them up.
- Pick your best shots. Always have your theme and subject in mind when choosing what to keep. A 20-page book averages 40-100 photos.
- Optimise for Autoflow. Re-name your chosen photos so they import or upload in the sequence you think you’ll use them.

- Highlight your favourite images with a full-page (or full-bleed) display. This adds drama to your content.
- Less is more: Don’t crowd your pages with a dozen images. A few, well-placed images on a page will have a strong impact.
- Vary your layouts. Alternate between full-bleed pages and complimentary groups of smaller photos to keep things interesting.

- Clearly label the spine so you can quickly identify your content.
- Vary paper type by audience and content. For photo-archives, choose high-quality paper. For books that require multiple copies or circulation, consider our trade format.
- Consider printing several smaller books with narrow themes. This will help you locate your content when you need to reference it.
