The mission of this book is to create a wider awareness of Jerusalem's modern (thus "new") image, aesthetic, lifestyle and culture through the prism of my drawings done on sight in Jerusalem. Having done hundreds of initial sketches of this modern cityscape, while exploring the terrain on foot, combined with meditations on the nature and spirit of this Biblical location, I decided to further refine and develop these initial sketches into a pictorial narrative that constitutes this book.
