I think of living in home as being like a book mark placed as a place holder in a novel. When the home is a good one, it reads like a good book. As dwellers of the David Miller home over the past decade, we have had the distinct pleasure of maintaining this beautiful home. We have held it’s place in time and throughout, have progressed through it’s pages and written our own story. I brought the kids over to the home for one last portrait last night. There was a bittersweet feeling of leaving behind something that has been so perfectly woven into our lives. It’s perfectly imperfect like freckles, attired by memories of so many who have lived there. 



The David Miller Home in Middlefield is a colonial dwelling built in 1741. It’s classic clapboarded post and beam frame sits upon a piece of land steeped in Middlefield founders history. Much of the home retains its original features including a large loom that still exist in the attic dating back to the 1700’s, five fireplaces and original floorboards. The home includes more recent refurbishments such as an office and a bedroom with beautiful built in features. The land it sits upon is idyllic and serene featuring stone walls and a massive maple tree that sets the perfect scene for any family.
