Ray Calvin Wortham works primarily in the tradition of documentary photography, following individuals or groups of people ( usually on the fringes of society ) for long periods of time. In recent years he has photographed in the Los Angeles area. Many of these photographs are environmental portraits of people interacting with each other and their environment and are un-posed, un-staged photographs that captures, explores or question contemporary society and the relationship between individuals and their surroundings.
