About the Ebook
During 2013 I've decided to do a year-long photography project where I will shoot a photograph daily. Each month will have a specific theme and this, the month of January 2013, is the first of the series of twelve books.



The theme for January 2013 is "The Hat." To do this series I decided to take photos of Rachel Rickard daily, doing things she loves and does where the hat is a part of the photo.



My "hat" goes off to Rachel and her family for allowing me to photograph her daily during the month.

Jim Pearson has been a professional photographer since 1971 when he joined the United States Air Force. In 1978 he attended Advanced Military Photojournalism training at S. I. Newhouse School of Communication at Syracuse University in New York. Completing his graduate course of studies there he returned to the Air Force working as a Photojournalist for Combat Camera till his retirement from service in 1995. In early 1996 he went to work as a photojournalist for The Messenger newspaper in Madisonville, Ky until 2013 when he retired. Currently he photographs railroads and his family!
