    Helen Litchfield was in her mid nineties when she passed away and was brought up in the Northern Territory where she was the only white child within five hundred miles. She was Australia's first female aircraft designer and has worked in England and South Africa, travelled widely in Australia, lived on an orchard in outback Queensland. Helen enjoyed life, occasionally writing, by the sea side in Townsville.
