Margarita Lypiridou is a multi-disciplinary visual artist working primarily in painting, print media, artist books and video. She was born in Thessaloniki, Greece and studied painting and drawing, applied arts and multimedia in Greece. She then continued in London, England, studying graphic design and photography. In 2002 she moved to Canada where she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Print Media and a Master’s degree of Fine Arts in Studio Art at Concordia University in Montreal. Lypiridou had her first solo exhibition in 1995 and since then her work has been shown in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Europe and North America. Margarita Lypiridou teaches and makes art in Montreal.
