This book is published in celebration of twenty years of Lovett's commitment to conservation and education at the Siempre Verde Cloudforest Reserve in Ecuador. This international, experiential education program is unique among K-12 schools and provides students who visit with a lifetime of memories. The book begins with The Lovett School's efforts to help the local school in the town of Santa Rosa in the Intag Region and continues through the purchase of the Siempre Verde Cloudforest Reserve and subsequent development of the program to include cultural immersion and service learning. Also included are chapters on the biodiversity at the reserve, including orchids, birds, insects, amphibians and reptiles, and mammals.
