Arizona and South Utah include Monument Valley, Canyon de Chelly and the Grand Canyon. The weather in late October and early November

can provide comfortable temperatures as well as the possibility of rain and snow. One year I was fortunate to witness rain showers in both Monument Valley and Canyon de Chelly followed by sunshine provided rainbows. The low sun angle of late autumn provides great texture lighting as well as sunrise and sunset opportunities. Storm clouds provided a dramatic background at the South Rim of ther Grand Canyon.

The images were taken with 4x5 film view cameras and digital cameras using both conventional color and infrared photography.
