    I am always proud and passionate of my Samoan Heritage; Every story I tell or write are reflections of my childhood memories woven in cultural values and traditions to capture our dreams for better futures. I graduated from Victoria University New Zealand with a BA in Anthropology in 1996 and in the same year i also achieved a certificate in Management Support from Massey University Wellington New Zealand. I was a Banker for nearly twenty years for three major banks working in a hybrid role teller/personal banker. This was a whole new chapter of learning for me in understanding that there was a corporate culture, enhanced and enforced by it’s own social/financial values and traditions. Wow! A whole new world for an island woman, that was. I am now retired and enjoy spending time with my family. I participate in community and church groups where I enjoy learning from others as well as advocating support in whichever way I could. I also write and draw to re-create memories.
