On October 31, 2018, a group of friends set out for an adventure they will never forget. They built a house in Ammar Ben Yasser, Jordan, for married couple, Mohanad Hamad Farhan and Malak Mahmoud and their 3 year old daughter Mayas they had another baby in January 2019. Mohammed Malkawi was our gracious Habitat for Humanity GV Coordinator and helped us to finish building our house in the 5 days we were there. Highlights were: bonding in the community house, the ancient Roman ruin of Pella and amazing meals with former Habitat families. We visited Madaba, saw Jesus’ baptism location, Mount Nebo, the River Jordan, floated in the Dead Sea and survived a flash flood on the Desert Hwy: we didn’t make it to Petra. After recovering, we visited the ancient Roman ruin of Umms Qay and said good bye to Eid Kefaya and Mousa, our tour guides, and Ishma our driver, before heading to Turkey. Lat 32.451392 Long 35.604231
