About the Book
Once the capital of Bohemia and now the capital of Czechia, Prague has been called ‘the city of a thousand spires’ and could also be called ‘the city of saints’ too, thanks to the Charles Bridge with it’s alley of 30 statues and statuaries that crosses the river Vitava and all the other saints that decorate the city either standing alone or on the churches with those thousand spires. There are few places more magical in winter than a city like Prague. Along with Vienna in Austria and Budapest in Hungary the romantic memory of a once beautiful Europe comes alive once more when cities like these get blanketed in mid winter snow. Hopefully James has captured some of that old European magic of days gone by with the photographs he took on his visit to this beautiful bohemian city.
