Poet and playwright Faith Van Valkenburgh Vilas (1878-1955) expanded into painting starting in 1944 to express a mystical view of the world, time, nature, energy, light, color, life, the afterlife, and spirit. This book gathers the body of Faith's paintings from the Vilas family collection together with selected poetry of hers and thoughts of contemporaries that relate to and further an understanding of her vision.
