About the Book
For 2 years, Alyson Thompson wrote through one of the most intense times of upheaval and transformation in her life. Leaving behind oppressive and dysfunctional community and belief systems, writing was both a practice and documentation of her healing, evolution, and becoming.
This book brings these pieces together into a collective work of their own in the order they were written.
A guide through her process.
A memoir and a memorial.
Poetry as storytelling.
A grief ritual.
A celebration.
A meditation.
A reclamation.
A reconciliation.
A homecoming.
