Born near Chicago, all my life has been directed mostly to art, especially painting. Influenced early by the abstract expressionists, I seem to be coming back to that mode of expression. also heavily nurtured by Chinese culture (I've been practicing tai chi since 1983 as well as a strong interest in The Book of Changes or Yi Jing.) I have been living in France since 1980, so most of my books alternate between the two languages.
