When Opal could not find this exact book at her local library, the librarians encouraged her to go home and write it. She did just that. With the help of her Uncle Jim, who created the illustrations, she was able to publish her first book. Opal has decided to donate all proceeds from the sales of this book to her favorite charity, where she has been volunteering with her family for the last 2 years- The Volunteers of America Family Homeless Shelter.
