Official records of history are simply silent about the incalculable forces of the silent prayers offered behind monastery walls where many religious have devoted their lives unconditionally. For some this is the hidden treasure. For others there are special places on earth for solemn silence; places where inner solemnity is formed into the greatest perfection of which you and I are capable whether it is in a monastery, at home, or your work place. Irrespective of where you may be, the human soul is the chamber of silence. Retreat to it and find peace.
