Faces of Africa, was born out of a journey with an opportunity to serve another culture. One does not quite know what will transpire, but you take it as you go with an open minded excitement of the unknown. I did not know what to expect, but I went with an intense desire to travel and see new places and experience new cultures.

I did not know what I did not know.

I was not prepared for what I was to experience. I came face to face with people who confronted, challenged, and destroyed my preconceived notions, conceptions, and prejudices. I was welcomed into a different culture by people I had never met as if were family. These are some of their faces.
