In Her House came about almost by chance.
I was in Veneto and I asked Deborah Parcesepe to pose for me.
The starting idea was to portray her in her house, in her home intimacy, mixing portrait and fiction, mise-en-scène and diary.
Photos that compose this book were not shot with a specific intent, except the one previously described.

Seeing them fffmakes me think about Woody Allen's film "Interiors". A Bergmanian film: interiors of our houses correspond to the interiors of our bodies, our inner being.
I think about Ingmar Bergman's films, Eric Rohmer's cinema, where physical spaces most of the time become soul spaces; of an individual, of a society.
In this way the title came about.
In her house. In her own spaces.
Now mine too, and yours.
