About the Book
Mixed Plate is a collection new and previously published poetry and photography focusing on the beauty and absurdity of life. The little things. The big things. Every experience shapes who we are. It all depends on how much we are paying attention. "Mixed Plate" refers to a variation of foods, typically on a lunch plate in Hawaii, and consists of two scoops rice, macaroni salad, and the main dish(es). Angelique Limatoc Arnold chose this title incorporating growing up in the islands and embracing her culture, as well as her love for living in California. She calls both Hawaii and California home.
