Dear Fans, I am a 26-year-old author & illustrator who over the years I have been inspired by my mother to undergo this journey and pursue my first book. "Luna Lung...Meets HES," is perfect for any age group and explores life through the lens of Luna Lung and Doc Bone; through illness, love, the mother & daughter bond, community and fundraising as well as never giving up HOPE! The book is based on a true story, as my mother was diagnosed with Hypereosinophilic Syndrome (HES) when I was five. Since 2013, I have been advocating for the national organization, The American Partnership for Eosinophilic Disorders (APFED) and have raised nearly $20,000. "Luna Lung...Meets HES," has become a piece of me and I just know it will touch the hearts of all those that will pick it up. XOXO, Michaella
