This book is a compilation of narratives and photographs documenting the experiences and observations of the author while living in the Isaan region of North East Thailand.



In addition to 327 photographs which document and celebrate the work, faith, and celebrations of the ethnic Lao Loum (Lowland Lao) people residing in Isaan and nearby Laos, there are narratives which provide an understanding and perspective of the Lao Loum culture and experience.



The narratives provide personal glimpses and insights into the everyday life of Lao Loum people as well as many of their celebrations along with family milestones in Isaan.
