    Edit

Ren Riley, based in Mendocino, California is one of the nation’s largest collectors of African American quilts and recognized as an authority on American vintage fabrics. She is also a fine artist, using fibers in wool and cotton to create her own quilts as well as extraordinary knitted chairs. This book illustrates seventeen of her intricate, knitted chairs, delving on themes of nature, social justice, and more. Each chair is a unique work of art and most take hundreds of hours to complete.
