Are you being called to build?

Is there a burning in your soul that you believe has been placed there by God? Do you feel compelled, driven, determined to do something in God’s kingdom by what you have observed needs done? You are not so different from Nehemiah, a man who was moved to go and do what many had seen, but none had dared address. What is God calling you to?

Nehemiah is a story of a man moved to rebuild a broken wall, how God made a way for him, taught him to stand against enemies, and brought him seemingly impossible victories. There are so many lessons to learn from journeying through the book of Nehemiah about what being called and pursuing our calling means and looks like for us as well.

Just because it’s a God assignment doesn’t mean it isn’t going to demand everything we’ve got. It’s not enough to know we’re called, we have to learn to how to remain in the calling, learn to fight, declare truth, rally others, remember who God is and continue to believe Him and step in faith.
