Born in California in the late 1950's but raised in the islands of Hawaii, Kirk has a background as a sailboat captain, teacher, musician and artist. He has been a world traveler since the 1980's but somehow manages to find his way home to Maui in between adventures. He is married to the most wonderful woman in the world.
