Railroad author, photographer and artist Ron Flanary has been documenting the trains of his life for nearly 60 years. This is a compilation of over 430 black and white images spanning those six decades. Much of the emphasis is on images presented as "art," rather than exclusively on subject matter alone. There are plenty of classic-era diesels, steam, and modern day railroading covering those sections of the country Ron has visited. The majority of his work features his home in the central Appalachian region.
