Originally from Montreal, Barbara (aka Rhen) has enjoyed sharing the subtle beauty of nature from her west coast island home through her captivating work as a photographer and poet. Barbara’s distinctively ethereal images are an invitation to step into the remarkable world she inhabits. Barbara’s poetic images and words celebrating the seasons on Salt Spring Island were featured on her page, “Rhen’s Poetry” in each issue of AQUA Gulf Islands Living Magazine from January/2018 to March/2021. Barbara’s first book, Delta of the Ravens — poetic words and images from Salt Spring Island, has been described by Barbara’s dear friend and fellow artist, J.D.
