They are small, easily over-looked, and associated with damp areas where rot and decay can be found. Yet when viewed at eye-level, mushrooms present a strange macro landscape that is both alien and beautiful.


All of these photographs were taken along a hiking trail on Mink Mountain in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada over the course of two fall hikes. The incredible diversity of mushrooms present in such a small geographical area is truly astounding!
