About the Book
During the summer of 2009, fourteen artEAST artists partnered with Issaquah area community members – well-known and obscure, quiet and colorful – who have helped shape the community. The artists honored these citizens by telling the stories of their lives through works in many different media.

artEAST, is a non-profit organization made up of artists and art supporters, is dedicated to making the arts an integral part of life in our community. Wether we are viewing an exhibition, or learning a new technique or expressing our own creativity, art enriches our lives. Our ultimate goal of securing an Art Center. We envision a place which will offer art exhibitions, arts education and studio space all under one roof. Our center will be a place to nurture the visual art in our community through exhibiting, teaching and creating art. We welcome you to join us!
