    About the Book

    Edit

The present work is an anthropological study examining the impact the project Ajuda e Desenvolvimento do Povo para o Povo (ADPP), or Development Aid from People to People (DAPP), has had on the lives of the people of Mozambique. Its theme: ®Development: it is about fostering new generations with golden hearts and heads and hands®. Maintaining a line of thought that believes in development through solidarity, this book attempts to manifest the singularity of sensitive knowledge and experience. It is a photographic essay that focuses on the personal aspects of daily life, transmitting in detail the emotion and subjectivity of its characters and the complex practical achievements of a development organization.

"There is great comfort in the knowledge that we can rely in people with golden hearts®” was the testimony of one of the beneficiaries, referring to his interaction with the projects of DAPP. It is in this context that our work arises, in the common wish to guarantee social development and to assist in the transformation of Mozambique into a glorious land.
