Scotland is for the most part a quiet and empty area. Equally theatrical and modest. Time seems to run slower and people's lives are a little more ordered than in the rest of Europe. And yet, or perhaps because of this, it is also a very intensely photographed landscape: Google Street-View of the remotest streets, high-resolution image collections of hundreds of photographers, photo blogs with extensive Scotland travel reports.
