Hailing from Newcastle, Australia, Ben Hosking is a seasoned motoring journalist with over 15 year's experience working in both the automotive and music press. Originally from Newcastle, Australia, Ben spent his formative years playing guitar in heavy metal bands, working for a local promoter and writing for the local music street press (concretepress) before starting his own metal-centric street mag' – 27twelve – that stayed in print for three years. Moving to Sydney in 1999, Ben joined Express Publications in 2003, working on Street Commodores magazine. Over the next seven years he honed his skills as a writer, as well as sharpening his talents in photography, design and event coordination and promotion. During his time with Express, Ben was the editor of various magazines, including: Street Commodores Aussie Brutes Xtreme Holdens Ben now heads up Hosking Industries: a company that provides numerous related services to local and international magazines and websites.
