Faced with a 70yr prison sentence, Antoine Boyce woke up one day in his 6'X9' cell and was compelled to write.
Boyce's thoughts and feelings about God, love, history and the Black experience spilled out on to the loose leaf retained on his desk for letters, in the form of literally hundreds of poems. "Ism" contains eleven of his most poignant and contemporarily relevant works . For the most part these pieces are meant to be performed or read aloud in order to fully experience his unique rhyme and rhythm schemes.
