These are memories shared from childhood in the hills of Eastern Kentucky while growing up in both a coal mining camp and on a hillside subsistence farm. The adventure covers my experiences as a youth in this environment and later as a young adult finding my way and attempting to adapt to life outside the security of the mountains. It is my attempt to relate the many adventures and misadventures I encountered on this path. It covers the youthful years, time in the military and the constant struggle to obtain a college education. It has been quite a journey. Travel along with me. I now live in Bowling Green, Kentucky but constantly spend time in my beloved Eastern Kentucky hills.
