Fine Art Portfolio.
I am an artist who typically creates work in series. I am to create timeless paintings, looking to
evoke a specific mood and a sense of curiosity. I have been developing a new body of work
titled ‘Interior Series’. The paintings look to capture the quiet, in-between moments in sites of
leisure. I believe architecture is the art in which we live. I look at democratising public interiors.
This forces the viewer to look at the space from an artistic perspective.
I paint in a reduced style and look to alter the perspective, extracting patterns and key elements
from the scene and using them to construct my own image. This helps to detach the space from
the ordinary standards of everyday life. The aesthetics of painting could be likened to interior
aesthetics. The work unites art and life.
