These past couple of years I have felt lost in life. I feel like everyone at one point in his or her lifetime feels lost and has no idea what he or she are doing. I had no idea where life was going to take me and I had no idea what I wanted to do. Photography has always been a part of my life, but it was only this past September that I decided to really take this seriously.

Photography is a way for me to be creative and for me to be creating something in this world. As a dancer I like to express myself not using words and photography is just another way for me to do that. My favorite part about photography is showing my friends the photos I took of them and seeing the reaction they have and knowing they love and enjoy what I am doing makes me confident and happy with where I am taking my photography.

I have titled my book Lost In The Sauce. Sauce represents life. These series of photos represents me trying to find a way out of the sauce. From images when I first started this class to now, it is a way for me to see the progress I have taken in finding something that I love to do and want to make into a career. Photography is me finding a way out of the sauce.

These people in the photos are all friends of mine who I have either worked with or have danced with in the past. I am lucky to have such supportive friends who let me take their photos even with them knowing I am still trying to find my way through all of this. Having people support you and be on your side really helps you get through the times you get lost in the sauce.
