    Port Hueneme, California

    Bonnie Jo Smith is a Internationally know textile artist. Her textiles have been exhibited at all of the United Nations Headquarters, Ninth Quilt Nihon, Quilt National and has received the NICHE Award twice. Recently, she received the Leigh Weimers Award and Grant in 2016. Her textile installation "Swimming Upstream" will be hosted at The Festival of Quilts, summer of 2017. Pretty Patches Magazine, U.K. in 2017 featured her in the June Issue. Bonnie is known for creating textile installations that tell her personal story. While creating these installations she realized her story is not that different from many others. Realizing this fact is what propels her forward every day with her creativity.
