This project "Edges of Riverland" is a collection of black and white photographs arranged as diptychs in an attempt to capture the aesthetic and the poetic within the mundane. I spent a year or so meandering along the River Tay, up and down the corridor from the airport down to the docks, incorporating areas of the city centre with its many abandoned shop fronts and run down industrial estates all around the western edges of Dundee.

My intention was to document the discarded objects and unconsidered surfaces, the grimy textures and ghostly fragments of texts before a major 'urban redevelopment plan' obliterated them from existence... here are some of the discoveries I managed to capture during this period of urban exploration, the ephemera most vulnerable to this regeneration process and the vagaries of time.
