    About the Book

    Edit

A photograph captures a moment, but what if those moments could speak?

Tempus Volat is a study of what those moments might have to say. Brenna Layne and Cara Walton have collaborated through the media of photography and written word to provide a voice for places and objects captured in pixels and plastic.

    Cara Walton Photography
    Harrisonburg, VA

Cara Walton is a purely accidental artist. She teaches high school students World History and likes to take pictures. Photography and art help her to stay sane in dealing with the day-to-day stress of her job and life in general. She lives in Harrisonburg with her husband, daughter, her cat, and an obscene amount of Star Wars toys and other geeky items. She mostly likes to take pictures of things that are in various states of decay. The history teacher in her likes to imagine the story behind what she is photographing, imagining the story of what used to be. She has also done several 365 self-portrait projects to force herself to be in front of the camera, instead of just behind it.
