Taught film, writing, and literature classes at the University of Northern Iowa for 40 years; continue to teach film courses as an adjunct. Write biweekly humor/opinion columns for Waterloo Courier; perform as a singer/songwriter. Now developing photography as a skill for use in creating photo essays. Married with two children, four grandchildren, all living in California.
