About the Book
I make tens of thousands of photographs every month. Most days you will find me carrying three camera bodies on my shoulders constantly chasing the perfect light. After re-locating to Los Angeles five years ago, I repeatedly tore apart my portfolio and unsuccessfully tried to re-focus my vision at the end of every year...trying to find my style in an over-crowded sea of LA photographers. Two years ago, I threw it ALL away and started over with a completely new take on the way I've always shot portraits. One camera. One lens. (Sometimes) One light. All of the photographs on these pages were created by me. Without an art director. Without a budget. Without locations. Usually without assistants, make-up or styling. Just my subject and I engaging in a genuine moment together. Through all of the change, these are the photographs that remain. The ones that matter most to me.
