This book tells of two strangers’ search for buried Civil War treasure. Against all odds, they first meet, then find, and finally try to hold on to their unimagined bounty. The two characters are a young unemployed white man and a young female African American attorney who, during the course of their search, must address their prejudices regarding each other and then overcome them as they increasingly rely on one another when their adventure grows more dangerous. In seeking their fortune they discover that it is the treasure of their friends and families and of also of each other that becomes the true find.
