This is Patricio's first art catalogue. It includes pictures of his first eighteen pieces and selected texts.

Creating these pieces was an intense labour that demanded many things that Patricio didn’t even know he had. At the same time, it was (and still is) the most rewarding ever of his activities.

It gave him a new definition of himself and therefore, a new way of seeing the world. It made him a better person, pushing him to confront fears and grudges and helping him to resolve or simply cope with them. Most importantly, it gave him something to say and the voice to say it, and with that, it also gave him a different sense of accomplishment he had never felt before. It is because of that experience that today Patricio can introduce himself as a visual artist.

When looking at his pieces you should keep in mind that he believes beauty exists; he believes it resides, in part, in all the elements that compose the language of an artist (certain rules in the organisation, lights and shadows, symmetries and asymmetries, etc.). In those terms, he believes that it is the artist’s job to speak beauty using the vocabulary he or she is given.
