The Rwandan Orphan Photography Project and Poetry by Santa Clara University Students is the result of a collaboration between the Rwandan Orphans Project, Department of Art and Art History, Lecturer Renee Billingslea, Claudia Monpere McIsaac’s and (English126) Creative Writing and Social Justice class, in which the students wrote poetry in response to photographs taken by boys who formerly living in the Orphanage, just outside the capital of Rwanda in Kigali.
