    About the Book

    Edit

In The Heavy Hot Air Balloon, the audience accompanies CherBear on an interactive hot air balloon ride where the audience's assistance is requested to get past obstacles throughout the adventure. There are three action packed versions of the story in this single book. The reader is prompted to select one of the three versions to read, based on the weather outside at the time that they are reading the book.

CherBear's Imagination Exercises are a series of short books that focus on creative thinking and encourage the use of the imagination as they guide the reader’s audience on stimulating, interactive adventures.
Colors, counting, deep breathing, and maintaining focus are incorporated as well to foster skills necessary for young developing minds.

    Rachelle Acosta

The author, Rachelle Acosta, possesses a degree in child & family development, 12+ years working in the field in such capacities as site supervisor, lead teacher, & perinatal case manager, countless hours spent at trainings and is a proud mom. She states: "Through it all, I have found three things to hold true when looking at the growth & development of young minds. First, spending time with a child & developing a bond is of the utmost importance as it is the foundation upon which all else will be built. Second, in a world full of an overabundance of stimuli, it has proven to be increasingly harder for children to learn the extremely valuable and necessary skill of maintaining focus than it has been for generations past. The task falls on parents and caregivers to assist in developing this skill. Third, the best tool a child has is his/her imagination. It is our job to foster creative thinking and assist in teaching children to use this amazing tool".
