La ventana por la que a veces miro... es un libro que muestra mediante fotografía directa y manipulaciones digitales una documentación de la riqueza de la vida cotidiana desde y a través de ventanas, al mismo tiempo que cuestiona los conceptos de "realidad" y "verdad".



Las imágenes en color y blanco y negro de este libro están influenciadas fuertemente por el fotoreportaje tradicional y la street photography. Son al mismo tiempo un homenaje de Jerónimo Arteaga-Silva al fotógrafo estadounidense Eugene Smith, considerado el padre de la fotografía documental contemporánea.



El libro contiene textos y descripciones en español, ingles y alemán.

La ventana por la que a veces miro... is a book by direct photography and digital manipulation makes a wealth of documentation of daily life from and through windows, while questioning the concepts of "reality" and "truth".



Images and color and white black in this book are heavily influenced by the traditional photo and street photography.

Jerónimo Arteaga-Silva

Jerónimo Arteaga-Silva was born in 1972 in Ecatepec, Mexico. He studied architecture in the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México and since 1994 he began to work as a photographer, since then he has published in several very important printed Mexican and European media. He has exhibited his work in Mexico, Cuba, Argentina, Germany, France, Spain, Brazil, USA and China. He was awarded with the National Prize of Cultural Journalism "Fernando Benitez" in Mexico 2007, the Prize of Anthropological Photography 2006 in Mexico, honorable mention in the International Prize of Young Photojournalists 2003 in Germany, the prize Union Latina-Martin Chambi 2002 in France, Prize in the Political category of the Mexican Biennial of Photojournalism and the Latin American Prize of Digital Photography, both in 2001. He has been recipient of the grant of the program Young Creators of CONACULTA (Mexican Arts Council). He lives between the cities of Düsseldorf, Germany and Mexico City.
