About the Book
Mindfully Messy is a one hundred and twenty-page book that combines text, image, and personal narrative to show the artist’s unique perspective on life. Divided into three different, yet cohesive sections: Mind, Body, and Soul, the book provides an avenue where her impalpable feelings and thoughts can become visible, textual depictions that belong on a page.
The artist does not expect the book to exist on every coffee table in San Francisco (it should!), but hopes those who choose to flip through its pages find a tiny (or medium) sense of themselves. Mindfully Messy is a manifestation of mess; an exposé on self-awareness; a capturing of the candid. Images of the artist make repeat appearances and complement the words strewn across its pages. This book aims to encourage authenticity through times of change and explores the artist’s messy way of doing so.
