Camino del Norte or The Northern Way is Camino de Santiago route following the gorgeous Northern coast of Spain from Irun to Bilbao, Gijón and on to Santiago de Compostela. It is around 850 km and it takes about five weeks to walk.

Camino de Santiago is the name of the pilgrimage routes, known as pilgrim ways, to the shrine of the apostle St. James the Great in the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela in Galicia in northwestern Spain. The earliest records of visits paid to the shrine dedicated to St. James at Santiago de Compostela date from the 9th century.

Walked by millions over the millennia Camino de Santiago represents a major force for spiritual renewal and transformation. In the greatness of the Landscape Temple pilgrims walk through they become open and receptive to the wisdom that is inside and around. The Camino steps beyond the habitual judgments and expectations that confine people and helps everyone to become ready to expand and change in order to grow. With an appreciation for what the path shows, the growth becomes a joyful part of the journey.

Today, whether walking the Camino for spiritual reasons or to discover its natural beauty and heritage, Camino is a life changing adventure, a unique experience that inspires many travelers.
