In the midst of historic Los Angeles snow storm of December 2015, Aria visits her mother at her motel home to commiserate her exile from the mermaid world. She crosses paths with Tom Istan who devised a way to end that exile without her trekking through the snow. All He needs is the waifish straw haired woman missing for years who plans on arriving across the street in the old Loews that night.
