The pictures taken here are of the Maldives, the beautiful island nation I come from.

In this book I have tried to portray some typical activities of islanders and the simplicity and calmness of our day to day life. This compilation of men, women and children at their daily tasks and recreational activities are our way of life and shows how we appreciate life and find happiness in simple things such as riding a bike, fishing as the sun sets, swimming in the clear blue sea or simply watching the sun go down.

I hope this book opens a small window to our world and I hope you enjoy it.
